Bass Ace Branches Out With Debut Vocal Album
Tal Wilkenfeld may be best known for her bass exploits with Jeff Beck and her high-profile guest appearances with the likes of Mick Jagger, Prince, The Allman Bros and Herbie Hancock, but with her latest album she’s stepping out as a talented vocalist and producer in her own right. Love Remains is a collection of 10-songs exploring love, loss and life through a poetic blend of Tal’s lyrics, storytelling and her masterful musicianship. The album was primarily recorded at Los Angeles EastWest Studios and co-produced with Paul Stacey (Oasis, The Kooks, Black Crowes), while longtime mentor and friend, Jackson Browne, served as Executive Producer. The album also features backing from a bevy of friends and highly respected players including guitarist Blake Mills (John Legend, Perfume Genius), keyboardists Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and Zac Rae (Alanis Morissette, Lana Del Rey) and drummer Jeremy Stacey (Ryan Adams, Eric Clapton).
